Typical Day on the Trek

A trek begins in the morning around 6am with tea in the tent. Then bowls of hot water will be left outside of tent for you. Before heading over to the mess for breakfast it is best to pack your gear into your duffel bag. You will need to carry the belongings which you will need during the day, because porters will not walk with you. Hot breakfast is served, porridge or cereal, toast, chapattis or pancake, cooked eggs and range of hot drinks around 7am. In the mean time the tents are brought down and packed away for the porters. After the porters arrange their loads, they will set off on the trail in the cool morning. Normally we start to walk around 8am. The cooking crews rush ahead to prepare lunch for when we arrive. Lunch will be served around 12pm in the afternoon at a spot on the side of the trail.
On arrival in the afternoon tea and biscuits (cookies) will be served. In the evening a three course meal (soup, main course and dessert or fruits) will be served in the mess tent. In the tea house trek you have you meal from the lodge menu and you stop for lunch in the lodge by the side of trail After supper our guide will discuss the plan for the next day and bedtime may follow soon.
