Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and assist with your transfer to the hotel in Kathmandu. After check-in, you can relax and recover from your journey or explore the lively streets of Thamel, a popular hub for trekkers. In the evening, you’ll attend a short briefing about the Himlung Expedition itinerary, preparation, and necessary documentation. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Today is dedicated to preparing for the Himlung Expedition. After breakfast, you’ll visit the Department of Tourism for an official expedition briefing and permit processing. Later, you can shop for any missing gear or personal items in the bustling markets of Thamel, known for its trekking and mountaineering equipment stores. Your expedition leader will also review your equipment checklist and ensure everything is ready for the climb. Overnight stay at a comfortable hotel in Kathmandu.

Today, you’ll enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley, exploring UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple — sacred landmarks that offer insight into Nepal’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage. In the afternoon, you’ll continue the final preparations for the Himlung Expedition, rechecking equipment and logistics with your expedition team. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

After breakfast, you’ll begin your journey with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar, the gateway to the Annapurna and Manaslu regions. The drive offers beautiful views of rivers, terraced fields, and traditional villages along the Trishuli and Marsyangdi rivers. Upon arrival in Besisahar, you’ll check into a local lodge or guesthouse and meet the support team for the expedition. Overnight stay at Besisahar.

Today, you’ll enjoy an adventurous jeep drive from Besisahar to Koto, passing through beautiful villages such as Dharapani and Chame along the Annapurna Circuit trail. The route winds through lush forests, waterfalls, and stunning mountain scenery, giving a taste of the Himalayan wilderness ahead. Upon reaching Koto, a charming Gurung village, you’ll rest and stay overnight at a local lodge before starting your trek the following day.

Your trekking adventure begins today as you enter the restricted Nar-Phu Valley region after completing the necessary permit checks at Koto. The trail follows the narrow Soti Khola gorge, crossing several suspension bridges and passing through dense pine and rhododendron forests. You’ll also encounter small caves and cascading waterfalls along the way. Gradually, the path opens up to the high plateau of Meta, offering breathtaking views of Lamjung Himal and Annapurna II. Today’s trek takes you deeper into the remote Nar-Phu Valley, following a rugged trail through barren landscapes, canyons, and old Tibetan-style villages. You’ll pass by Chyakhu and Kyang, where you can see ancient mani walls and ruined forts that echo the region’s historical trade routes with Tibet. The scenery becomes more dramatic as you climb higher — the dry, rocky terrain contrasts beautifully with the snowcapped peaks surrounding you. After a gradual ascent, you’ll reach Phu Gaon, a stunning medieval village rich in culture, traditional stone houses, and a strong Buddhist presence. Overnight stay at a lodge in Phu Gaon.

Today is a rest and acclimatization day at the beautiful Phu Gaon, an ancient and culturally rich village. This break helps your body adjust to the higher altitude before moving toward Himlung Base Camp. You can spend the day exploring the local monasteries (Gompas), interacting with Tibetan-influenced locals, and enjoying panoramic views of mountains like Himlung Himal, Pokarkang, and Ratna Chuli. Today’s journey takes you from the serene village of Phu Gaon toward the Himlung Base Camp, the foundation point for your upcoming expedition. The trail gradually ascends through moraines, rocky ridges, and glacial terrain, offering breathtaking views of Himlung Himal, Nemjung, and Manaslu ranges. As you approach base camp, the landscape becomes more rugged and alpine, reflecting the raw beauty of the Himalayas. These days are fully dedicated to the summit climb of Mt. Himlung Himal, one of Nepal’s most captivating 7,000-meter peaks. From Base Camp (4,850m), you’ll gradually move up through three higher camps—Camp I, Camp II, and Camp III—established strategically for safe acclimatization and successful ascent. The route offers a mix of snow slopes, icy ridges, and technical sections, requiring proper coordination and teamwork.

Weather permitting, a summit push will be planned after adequate rest and favorable conditions. Standing atop the Himlung summit (7,126m) rewards climbers with unforgettable panoramic views of Manaslu, Annapurna, and the Tibetan plateau. Today marks the beginning of your return journey after the successful summit of Mt. Himlung (7,126m). The morning starts with cleaning and packing up the Base Camp, ensuring the environment remains untouched and pristine. Afterward, you’ll trek back to Phu-Gaon, following the same scenic trail with panoramic views of the mountains and deep valleys.
It’s a day to relax, enjoy the descent, and cherish the memories of your achievement. Upon arrival, settle into your lodge accommodation at Phu-Gaon (4,200m) for a comfortable night’s rest.

After breakfast, you’ll leave the beautiful Phu-Gaon village and begin your descent toward Meta. The trail retraces through rugged mountain paths, crossing suspension bridges and passing ancient chortens and Mani walls. Enjoy the changing landscape as the altitude drops, revealing greener valleys and milder weather.

It’s a pleasant trekking day with plenty of time to rest and take in the surrounding views of Annapurna and Himlung ranges. Upon arrival in Meta, you’ll settle into your lodge accommodation, enjoy a warm meal, and rest after the long descent.

Today’s journey takes you from Meta back to Koto, following a scenic trail that descends through pine forests, rocky ridges, and small streams. You’ll retrace your steps along the beautiful Nar–Phu Valley, enjoying the serenity of remote Himalayan landscapes one last time.

The trail offers spectacular views of Annapurna II, Lamjung Himal, and Pisang Peak, along with glimpses of traditional mountain life in small Gurung and Tibetan-influenced settlements. Upon reaching Koto, you’ll check into your lodge accommodation, relax, and celebrate the successful completion of your Himlung Himal climb.

After breakfast, you’ll board a jeep for an adventurous drive from Koto to Besisahar. The journey winds through rugged mountain roads, dense forests, and traditional villages along the Marsyangdi River valley. As you descend, the landscape gradually transforms from alpine terrain to lush mid-hills filled with terraced fields and warm settlements.

This scenic yet bumpy drive offers a final opportunity to soak in the beauty of the Annapurna and Manaslu regions. Upon reaching Besisahar (823m), you’ll check into your lodge accommodation for a well-deserved rest after a long day on the road.

After breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, which takes around 7 hours. The journey follows the winding highway along rivers, terraced hillsides, and charming villages, offering a last glimpse of Nepal’s diverse countryside.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll check into your hotel and enjoy a comfortable rest after the long journey. In the evening, you can explore the vibrant streets of Thamel, shop for souvenirs, or simply relax and reflect on your incredible Himlung Himal Expedition experience.

Today is a free day in Kathmandu — a perfect opportunity to relax, explore the city at your own pace, or do some last-minute shopping. You may choose to visit cultural landmarks, local markets, or enjoy a peaceful café experience in Thamel.

In the evening, join us for a special farewell dinner accompanied by a traditional Nepali cultural program, celebrating the successful completion of your Himlung Himal Expedition. Enjoy authentic Nepali cuisine, music, and dance as you share your expedition memories with your team. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

After an incredible journey and successful completion of your Himlung Himal Expedition, it’s time to bid farewell to Nepal. Depending on your flight schedule, our representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your final departure.

We recommend checking in at least three hours before your flight. If your flight is in the evening and you require a late hotel checkout or half-day use, please inform us in advance.
