Kanchenjunga Expedition

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, our representative will welcome you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. After check-in, you will have time to rest, recover from your journey, and prepare for the upcoming Kanchenjunga Expedition. A short briefing about the expedition schedule and necessary preparations will be provided.

These days are dedicated to completing necessary expedition formalities, obtaining permits, and finalizing all required arrangements. Our team will conduct a detailed expedition briefing covering the climbing route, safety procedures, equipment checks, weather conditions, and summit strategy. You will also have time for final shopping and preparation before heading to the mountains.

Today, we take a scenic domestic flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur in eastern Nepal. Upon arrival, we drive through beautiful landscapes, tea gardens, and winding roads toward Ilam Bazaar, a peaceful hill town known for its lush greenery and stunning views.

After breakfast, we begin our scenic drive from Ilam to Jorpul via Phidim. The journey passes through beautiful eastern Nepal landscapes, terraced fields, forests, and traditional villages. We continue toward the remote mountain region, preparing for the upcoming trekking section of the Kanchenjunga Expedition.

Today, we begin our trekking journey toward Khebang, walking through peaceful rural landscapes, terraced farmland, forests, and traditional villages of eastern Nepal. The trail offers a beautiful introduction to the remote Himalayan environment and local culture.

Today, we continue our trek toward Yamphudin, a beautiful remote village in the Kanchenjunga region. The trail passes through lush forests, rivers, and traditional settlements, offering stunning views of the surrounding hills and landscapes. Yamphudin is a culturally rich village inhabited by different ethnic communities.

Today, we trek from Yamphudin to Torongdin, following a scenic trail through dense forests, rivers, and rugged mountain terrain. The route gradually gains altitude as we move deeper into the Kanchenjunga region, enjoying peaceful surroundings and breathtaking Himalayan landscapes.

We trek from Torongdin to Tseram, following the trail through beautiful alpine forests, valleys, and high-altitude landscapes. After reaching Tseram, we take an acclimatization day to allow our bodies to adjust to the increasing altitude. This rest day helps improve fitness and prepares us for the higher sections of the Kanchenjunga Expedition.

Today, we continue our trek from Tseram to Ramche, entering the high-altitude region of the Kanchenjunga landscape. The trail passes through alpine meadows, rocky terrain, and spectacular mountain scenery with impressive views of surrounding peaks and glaciers. Ramche serves as an important stop for acclimatization before heading toward Kanchenjunga Base Camp.

Today, we trek toward Middle Camp, gradually gaining altitude through the rugged Himalayan terrain. The trail offers magnificent views of glaciers, high mountain valleys, and the majestic Kanchenjunga range. This stage is important for further acclimatization before reaching the expedition base camp.

Today, we trek to Kanchenjunga Base Camp and begin setting up the Advance Base Camp (ABC). The trail leads through challenging high-altitude terrain with breathtaking views of glaciers and surrounding peaks. Our expedition team will organize camps, equipment, and necessary arrangements to prepare for the climbing phase.

The climbing period begins with acclimatization rotations, technical training, and preparation for the summit push. Our expedition team will establish higher camps, fix ropes where required, and carry out planned rotations between Base Camp, Advanced Base Camp, and higher camps to adapt to the extreme altitude.

During this period, climbers will face challenging sections including glaciers, ice slopes, and steep Himalayan terrain. The summit attempt will be made during favorable weather conditions with the support of experienced Sherpa guides and the expedition crew.

After successfully reaching the summit of Kanchenjunga (8,586 m), the team will safely descend back to Base Camp and prepare for the return journey.

After completing the summit attempt, we return safely to Kanchenjunga Base Camp. The team will organize equipment, clean the campsite, pack expedition materials, and complete all necessary preparations for the return journey. We leave no trace behind while preserving the pristine Himalayan environment.

Today, we begin our return journey from Kanchenjunga Base Camp to Ramche. The trail descends through the stunning high-altitude landscapes, glaciers, and mountain valleys of the Kanchenjunga region. Enjoy the final views of the magnificent Himalayas before reaching Ramche for an overnight stay.

Today, we continue our descent from Ramche to Torongdin, following the trail through beautiful alpine landscapes, forests, and remote mountain valleys. The lower altitude brings a more comfortable walking experience as we gradually return through the peaceful Kanchenjunga region.

Today, we trek back to Yamphudin through scenic trails surrounded by forests, rivers, and traditional mountain villages. The journey offers beautiful views of the eastern Himalayan landscape as we gradually descend to lower elevations.

Today, we continue our descent from Yamphudin to Jorpul, walking through lush forests, terraced fields, and beautiful rural landscapes of eastern Nepal. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and local culture as we complete the trekking section of the Kanchenjunga Expedition.

Today, we drive from Jorpul to Birtamod, Jhapa, leaving the mountain region behind. The scenic drive passes through beautiful hills, rivers, and countryside landscapes of eastern Nepal. Upon arrival in Birtamod, we rest and prepare for the journey back to Kathmandu.

Today, we return to Kathmandu by domestic flight or road transportation from Birtamod. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and enjoy a well-deserved rest after the successful Kanchenjunga Expedition.

Today is a relaxing day in Kathmandu to rest, explore the city, complete last-minute shopping, or enjoy the local culture. In the evening, we organize a farewell dinner to celebrate the successful completion of the Kanchenjunga Expedition with the expedition team.
