Ama Dablam Expedition

26 Days 25 Nights

Ama Dablam Expedition is one of the most iconic and technically rewarding Himalayan climbing adventures in Nepal. Standing at 6,812 meters (22,349 ft) in the heart of the Everest region, Ama Dablam is often called the “Matterhorn of the Himalayas” because of its stunning pyramid-shaped peak, dramatic ridges, and hanging glacier that resembles a traditional Nepali ornament worn by mothers (Dablam).

The expedition offers climbers an exceptional opportunity to experience high-altitude mountaineering on one of Nepal’s most beautiful peaks. Unlike trekking peaks, Ama Dablam requires advanced climbing skills, including rock climbing, ice climbing, fixed rope techniques, glacier travel, and excellent acclimatization. The standard South-West Ridge route provides a challenging yet rewarding climb with breathtaking views of some of the world’s highest mountains, including Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and Thamserku.

The Ama Dablam Expedition combines a scenic trek through the legendary Sherpa villages of the Khumbu region with a serious Himalayan climbing experience. The journey takes you through famous destinations like Namche Bazaar, Tengboche Monastery, and Pangboche, allowing climbers to immerse themselves in Sherpa culture before attempting the summit.
